The Kid City Summer Program provides classes, workshops, field trips and activities to more than 100 high school and college students and the program depends on interns. These interns are often former Kid City students who depend on these summer jobs for experience. Last week we learned that the city program that funds our internships unexpectedly cut funding in half, and we have come up short! Please help us hire determined and eager first-generation college students from low-income families in Los Angeles! In turn, they will provide programs for over 100 more young people including music lessons, SAT PREP, college essay help and mentoring.
UPDATE: By the grace of God and longtime friendships, we now have a wonderful new partnership with JVS (Jobs. Vocation. Success. Formerly Jewish Vocational Services), which has helped us hire all but three of the interns we need! Also thanks to some very very generous supporters, we only need to raise $1000 to be able to hire them all.
Please do what you can, and a big THANK YOU to JVS for swooping down to rescue a Kid City in crisis.
Thank you for stepping up to save Kid City's summer 2018 program! All donations made to this page will go 100% to hire Kid City interns for the summer program. Please tell your friends!
